June is a Commissioner and Chair of the Wales Committee of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, a Civil Service Commissioner, and a lay member of the governing body of the University of Glasgow.
She has worked throughout her career in public service including roles as a Governor in long-term and maximum security prisons, a diplomat representing the UK to the European institutions in Brussels, a ministerial policy adviser and principal private secretary. Latterly she was a board member and Director General of Local Government and Communities in the Welsh Government. June has served as a trustee of the Young Foundation.
