Ceridwen was a Senior Research Fellow at Oxford University’s Department of Social Policy and Intervention. Prior to that, she was Director of the Family Policy Studies Centre. She has also held research and management posts in Government and academia as an industrial sociologist, and served as Chair of the Social Research Association from 2001 to 2005. Her research interests include the interplay between changing family structures and public policy, women’s lifetime employment and the role social research plays in shaping policy and practice.
